Blatchford is an award-winning manufacturer of some of the world’s most advanced prosthetic legs, knees and ankles, as well as our groundbreaking orthotic devices. We combine clinical expertise and engineering excellence to redefine mobility.

Founded in 1890, Blatchford employs over 900 people worldwide. With manufacturing headquarters in Basingstoke (England), with additional capabilities in Miamisburg, Ohio (USA), and Frankfurt (Germany). Blatchford is a prosthetics company that is changing lives on a global scale.

Our Technology

At Blatchford we believe that long-term health for amputees depends on the replication of the dynamic and adaptive qualities of natural limb movement.

The engineering of nature is the prime source of inspiration at the heart of Blatchford’s biomimetic design philosophy. Our research and engineering focuses on replicating the natural mechanics of the human limb (biomimetics). Blatchford’s headquarters located at Bond Close is home to our exceptional Research and Development team. Including dedicated assembly teams after Blatchford’s worldwide distribution, logistics, and procurement functions. We have a passion to continually innovate and enhance our cutting-edge products with the latest technology.

Bilton Road:
Our Prosthetic Manufacturing facility is located at Bilton Road, Basingstoke, and is an integral part of our operations.

Sheffield, UK

In Sheffield, we proudly manufacture, supply and use our centuries-old experience to expertly repair external orthoses, prosthetic sockets, and specialist seating for wheelchairs for our valued customers throughout the UK.

Miamisburg, OH, USA

Blatchford’s central hub for our prosthetic products' assembly and logistics supply chain serving customers across North America and Canada. Dedicated and efficient our US-based Customer Service and After Care Support teams are based here, ensuring our customers receive exceptional support every step of the way.

European Head Office

Blatchford’s European hub for product distribution, accounts, training and customer service, is based in Raunheim, Germany. We also have sales teams operating throughout Europe, with account managers operating in Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Benelux. We also have our own private clinics operating in Scandinavia under the Blatchford Norway brand.
