Our services cover the communities of Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes. We measure, produce and fit artificial limbs (prosthetics) and provide rehabilitation for amputees and people who are born with (congenital) limb deficiencies. If a person wishes to have more information before having an amputation, we can offer an appointment with the NHS Consultant and MDT to discuss this in greater detail (Pre-op consultation).

Car:
Travel towards Northampton Town Centre and then follow the hospital signs. From the M1, leave at Junction 15 and follow A508 to Northampton - then A428 Exit to Town Centre then Hospital.

Other routes take the A45 ring road and exit on to the A428 for town centre then Hospital Bus: Bus numbers 1, 5 and 12A from Northampton Bus Station stop outside the Hospital. Parking available at the centre.

Rail:
Northampton Railway station is approximately ½ mile west of the town centre and 1 mile from the hospital. There is a taxi rank at the station.

Our Services

  • Prosthetics

    Centre Team includes NHS Consultant and Physiotherapist who specialise in Amputee Rehabilitation along with experienced Prosthetists and Technicians.

    We measure, produce and fit artificial limbs (prosthesis) and provide rehabilitation for amputees and people who are born with (congenital) limb deficiencies (Upper and lower limb). The centre actively use the latest Rodin CAD technology to produce digital models for the production of prosthesis.

    If a person wishes to have more information before having an amputation, we can offer an appointment with the NHS Consultant and the MDT to discuss this in greater detail (Pre-op consultation).

Referral process

How do I access treatment?

Referrals are made from the surgical teams following amputation. Patients can also be reffered by GPs or other healthcare professionals.Centre Physiotherapist will reveiw the refferals and the patient will be appointed. Once the patients are registered at the centre they can self refer for adjustments or repairs to their prosthesis as required.
